This is a Zentangle Inspired Art drawing created in gold metallic ink on dark blue drawing paper. Traditionally, a Mandala is a spiritual and ritual symbol in Hinduism and Buddhism, representing the Universe. Outside of the religious context, the word Mandala has come to mean any geometric artistic design with its basic form being a circle.
About Linda Clary
I studied art at the University of Texas at Arlington, but I am mostly self-taught via books, videos and workshops with other artists. Landscape painting in oil or acrylic is my first love, but I also create abstract and representational art in other mediums including pen & ink drawings and small sculptures. I enjoy experimenting and often attend classes given by artists with expertise in a variety of mediums and techniques. The beauty of nature is my primary inspiration and I try to capture its spiritual essence in my art. I am a member of several art associations and have received numerous awards in Dallas-area art exhibits. My work has been sold to collectors both in the United States and in Europe.
