Artist's Description

This is a pen & ink drawing using Zentangle techniques to depict an ornate Horse in honor of the Chinese Year of the Horse 2014. The name, Qianli Ma, means horse that can run 1000 miles. The Chinese symbol means Year of the Horse. The original drawing is custom-framed and double-matted in a high-quality gold bamboo frame.

Linda Clary

I studied art at the University of Texas at Arlington, but I am mostly self-taught via books, videos and workshops with other artists. Landscape painting in oil or acrylic is my first love, but I also create abstract and representational art in other mediums including pen & ink drawings and small sculptures. I enjoy experimenting and often attend classes given by artists with expertise in a variety of mediums and techniques. The beauty of nature is my primary inspiration and I try to capture its spiritual essence in my art. I am a member of several art associations and have received numerous awards in Dallas-area art exhibits. My work has been sold to collectors both in the United States and in Europe.
